Amino Silicone Oil Synthesized from Linear Bodies: Low Yellowing, High Conversion Rate and All-Round Superior Performance

It is prepared by co-polycondensation of hydroxyl-terminated silicone oil (linear body) and amino silane coupling agents under a mild catalytic system. With optimized dehydration parameters, the single-pass conversion rate of terminal hydroxyl groups can exceed 95%. The linear-body route skips the ring-opening chain extension of cyclic siloxanes, featuring a shorter reaction pathway. Proper process control can markedly suppress cyclic by-product formation and minimize side reactions. This process yields linear amino silicone oils with lower yellowing tendency compared with conventional ring-opening polymerization routes. After emulsification, the emulsion exhibits outstanding stability, endowing fabrics with excellent whiteness together with soft and smooth hand feel. Benefiting from low yellowing, high storage stability and uniform amino group distribution (attributed to the non-equilibrium nature of polycondensation), the product is widely adopted in high-end textile and personal care applications.
